Cyborg's Dad Built Batman's Grappling Gun? Detective Comics #998 (Spoilers)

 

In the run-up to Detective Comics #1000, Peter Tomasi and Doug Braithwaite have been telling a story in which Batman has been personally targeted. Recreated dead parents, those who raised him and tutored him being attacked (I wonder if the teacher who read out his Bee Gees love poem needs to go into hiding?) and he is curretly trying to warn yet-untargeted individuals.

And in doing so, revealing unknown histories.

Such as that of Silas Stone, scientist, father of Victor Stone, the Justice Leaguer known as Cyborg. Who, as well as creating his son's new body to save him, with alien tech, also had a role in Batman's development.

And it turns out, that includes Dr Silas Stone. Such as his grappling gun.

And probably more besides. Looks like Lucius Fox has competition in this regard. And does that mean that when, back in the first year of Justice League, and the new team were being honoured…
