Dark Horse to Launch Line of Stranger Things Comics Starting in September
Dark Horse and Netflix have entered into a multi-year publishing deal to produce a line of comic books based on Stranger Things. The deal was announced on Entertainment Weekly, and everything kicks off with a four-issue mini-series by Jody Houser, Stefano Martino, Keith Champagne, Lauren Affe, and Nate Piekos which tells the story of what happened to Will while he was stuck in the Upside Down during Stranger Things Season 1.
"Dark Horse is known for championing stories and storytellers," said Dark Horse President Mike Richardson in the most generic statement about a collaboration like this possible. "We are so excited to work with Netflix to bring the world of Stranger Things to comics."
It's clear that there are plans to publish even more comics exploring the world of Stranger Things, but there's no other info beyond this first mini-series, which launches on September 26. We do know, however, that the mini will come with variant covers by Aleksi Briclot, Rafael Albuquerque, and Kyle Lambert. Check out some watermarked preview pages below.
