DC Comics Returns To Mexico – Holding The Line At 29 Pesos

Editorial Televisa is the new Mexican publisher of DC Comics titles, and their first two publications come out this week – Superman/Action Comics and Batman/The Dark Knight. This is the first DC publication in Mexico since a year ago, when Editorial Vid last published the line.

Next they'll publish Justice League, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Flash, Wonder Woman, and Batman: Earth One, the latter under the Definitive Collections label.

That last one is the most surprising for the audience, because it will be released in the same month that it has been in the USA, rather than the usual Mexican three month delay.

DC Comics Returns To Mexico – Holding The Line At 29 Pesos
DC negotiated first with Televisa, then with a number of other publishers, with representatives making the trip from 1700 Broadway to Mexico City, but Televisa was the eventual choice – currently also the publisher of Marvel Comics in Mexico.

The Batman comic will be 48 pages long, with two US comics in each edition, and prices ar 29 pesos, or $2.20.The Superman comic, at 56 pages will include the extra lengthened Action Comics, for $2.60. Batman Earth One is priced at 99 pesos, or $7.40.
