DC Comics Trademarks Superman 'S' With Curious Timing

Yesterday, DC Comics filed to register the Superman 'S' symbol as a trademark for belt buckles.

It looks as if someone might have been going through their trademark on the symbol in recent days for… some unknown reason… and found it it was lacking in their paperwork.

But not only that, it's also filed paperwork to register two Batsymbols for belt buckles as well.
