DC's Free "People Of Earth" Comic By Ivan Cohen And Tony Shasteen Based On The TV Series

People Of Earth, the TBS comedy about alien abduction starring Wyatt Cenac, returns for a second season on Monday July 24th at 10.30pm. But on Wednesday, July 26th, comic book retailers will get a free new, 16 page promotional comic People Of Earth #1, based on the show. This special edition "Experiencer's Guide to Aliens" comic book written by Ivan Cohen with art and cover by Tony Shasteen will provide a deep dive into the sci-fi comedy series, which centers on less-than-perfect abducting aliens, botched abductions, and paranormal investigation through the lens of StarCrossed, a support group for alien abductees – or "experiencers" – who have set out on a journey to discover the truth.

And because most retailers pay freight charges to receive comics from Diamond Comic Distributors, DC will even issue a small freight refund per copy received. I would also expect to see TBS and/or DC Comics handing out copies of this People Of Earth comic free in a week's time at San Diego Comic-Con. That's what I'd do anyway.

People Of Earth

Here's what Wikipedia has to say about the series;

The series follows city journalist Ozzie (Wyatt Cenac) who travels to Beacon, New York to write a piece on a support group, "StarCrossed", for survivors of alien encounters. Although skeptical at first, Ozzie realizes the truth of the group's claims when he begins to recall similar experiences. Ozzie eventually quits his city job, and moves to Beacon to further investigate the town's strange occurrences, and resolve issues in his past related to his possible abduction.
