Diamond Adds Five New Categories To The Retailer AwardsBleeding Cool reported on this year's announcement and awarding of the Best Practice Awards, given to retailers by Diamond Comic Distributors. Those ten categories are to be joined by a further five this year;

  • Best Back Issue Section
  • Best Website
  • Best Store Logo Usage
  • Best Customer Loyalty Program
  • Best PREVIEWS Display

The last one seems a little self serving, but then Bleeding Cool isn't really one to talk.

To enter, retailers must send in photographs and a written statement and must be handed in by the end of August. Winners will be announced at the New York Comic Con in October.

The returning categories are;

  • Best Window Display
  • Best Counter Display
  • Best New Comics Section
  • Best Graphic Novels Section
  • Best Kids Section
  • Best Toys Section
  • Best Movie or Themed Boutique
  • Best Out of the Box Game Display
  • Best T-Shirt Display
  • Most Improved Retail Display
