Exclusive: Mark Waid's 18 Tips For Creating a Fake Republican Parody Twitter Account

Exclusive: Mark Waid's 18 Tips For Creating a Fake Republican Parody Twitter AccountWhen we last checked in with Champions writer Mark Waid, he was feeling a little down after Donald Trump's victory in the presidential election, as were we all. After seeing some of his colleagues vow to avoid conventions in "red states" – states that voted for Trump – for the next four years, Waid decided he would attend those cons, but he would use his privilege to create safe spaces there. It seemed like a productive way to deal with his grief. But what has the 54-year-old industry veteran been up to since then?

Nearly a month later, and Waid appears to have made his way past denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance, reaching the rarely achieved sixth stage of grief: Twitter flame warring. It all began with some replies to the President Elect.

Unfortunately, Waid and Kiala's budding friendship was soon interrupted by a rude Trump supporter, Gregg "Greg" Lane:

If you thought Waid was going to put up with this, you must not know him very well. Waid fired back in a series of focused tweets that would eventually lead to one of the most important contributions a comic book creator has ever given human civilization, and yes, we are taking into account Grant Morrison's Watchmen and Zack Snyder's Man of Steel movie.

Inspired by the glory of Twitter battle, over the next several hours, Waid put together a comprehensive list of 18 essential tips. We're all familiar with Wally Wood's 22 Panels That Always Work
