It's the age old story. Someone wants to make a film. So they make a comic book instead, hoping Hollywood will see their genius and pony up the cash.

That's what Jo Brar did. He produced and financed the graphic novel Snow Angel with rising stars Kurtis Wiebe and Tyler Jenkins through Arcana. And found… no one who wanted to make it into a film.

But that was okay, because as a result of publishing the comic, Through Red 5 Publishing, he worked with Satellite Studios instead to help develop, finance and produce a multimillion dollar animated feature called Red Shadow. Which Jo ended up co-writing, with financing help from Lon Molnar of Intelligent Creatures. The movie starts production in June.
