Heaven Can Wait For Norm Breyfogle

DC Comics' loss is my gain.

That's was my first thought when legendary Batman artist Norm Breyfogle agreed to be a part of my crowdfunding venture. Aside from one other independent project, Norm's last major work was for DC Comics Batman Beyond which was quite successful. For whatever reason DC decided to change the writer and Norm too was off the book.

And since Norm had drawn some of the very first comics I had ever read before I became a serious collector, things are now come full circle!

I had co-written a story with my father which would require an artist that could really bring this story to life. That story is the story of HEAVEN.
HEAVEN: Where one can live on after they die, for a price. It is the story of the last great creation by mankind; one that some from the religious right are seeking to destroy.

And for the time since the creation of HEAVEN, an intruder is sent inside to destroy it.

So what is HEAVEN? Without spoiling too much HEAVEN is a creation that allows you to live after you die guaranteed in a simulation of the real Christian Heaven. Unlike the Christian Heaven where one has to have faith that it exists, here is HEAVEN and it is REAL – you just have to be able to be able to pay your monthly premium to get in!

HEAVEN asks the question: Do we deserve this creation?

Being located in Australia I turned to Indiegogo for Crowdfunding to get this story off the ground as other sites like Kickstarter only allow people of certain countries to start a project there. I've included in the benefits the opportunity to get a head sketch or even a full commission from Norm himself. And considering he has not taken on new commissions for a few years now, here's your chance to score one!

This project is to gain funds to have Norm pencil a complete 64 page Graphic Novel with a beginning, middle and end. If we exceed our target we will be having Norm ink the book as well but we want to also have Norm paint a cover! If you've read the Batman: Birth of the Demon, a book written by Denny O'Neil and fully painted by Norm, you'll know that Norm's paintings are out of this world!

As the book is already written so I'm not raising any money for myself as writer. The target also accommodates all the rewards along with Indiegogo's fee.

Norm is very excited about this project and when you have a veteran comic creator excited about drawing a story you know the book will be at the very least stunning to look at!

And here's the best part: Unlike other crowdfunding projects out there, you will get a reward even at $5! In this case a digital copy of the book once it's done. I figured that it costs nothing to send a pdf copy of the book and since not everyone can spend the big bucks supporting projects like these especially with so many awesome projects out there.
