Jim Henson's The Storyteller Dives Into Mermaids for New Sirens Mini

Explosive publisher BOOM! Studios has announced a new entry in the Jim Henson's The Storyteller series hitting stores in April, proving once and for all that darlin' it's better down where it's wetter. From creators including Jakub Rebelka, Bartosz Sztybor, Chan Chau, Sarah Webb, and Aud Koch, Jim Henson's The Storyteller: Sirens will be a 4-issue mini-series based on the television show and published on BOOM!'s Archaia imprint.

From the press release:

Featuring beautiful stories told by some of today's most exciting voices, including Jakub Rebelka (Judas) with Bartosz Sztybor, Chan Chau (Elements:Fire), Sarah Webb (Jim Henson's Labyrinth: Under the Spell), and Aud Koch (The Wicked + The Divine), JIM HENSON'S THE STORYTELLER: SIRENS dives deep into the legends and myths of mermaids from all over the world, and what happens when humanity answers their call.

JIM HENSON'S THE STORYTELLER: SIRENS features main connecting covers by Cory Godbey (Jim Henson's Labyrinth: Tales), along with variant covers by artists Jakub Rebelka (Judas), Chan Chau (Elements: Fire), Sarah Webb (Jim Henson's Labyrinth: Under the Spell), and Aud Koch (The Wicked + The Divine).

Said BOOM! Editor Cameron Chittock in today's obligatory BOOM! editorial press release quote:

The contradictions of mermaids — being creatures of incredible beauty and yet danger, appearing human but being of the sea — makes them ripe for a wide range of stories. This lineup of artists deliver on that potential in stunning vibrancy in what might be our boldest series of The Storyteller yet.

The first issue hits stores on April 3rd.
