Bleeding Cool's Kickstarter Correspondent, Shawn Demumbrum has lead three Kickstarter campaigns to launch comic books, two successfully funded and one that wasn't. Each month he will point out some of the unique "Geek Culture" Kickstarter projects that deserve your attention. Shawn's current project Break the Walls: Stories Inspired by the Songs of the Pixies is also being funded through Kickstarter.
Concept:"As horrific as it may be, haven't you ever wondered what you would look like as an undead rotting corporeal shell of flesh eating nastiness?" A new Kickstarter project will answer that need. Taking a picture that you provide Ian Rosenthaler will create your digital Zombie likeness.
Sweet spot: Pledge $50 or more. Receive (1) 11×14 Full Color (with plenty of blood) digital portrait sketch of the photo you submit (one person) as a flesh eating zombie.
Cool Zone: Pledge $200 or more. receive an 11×14 Full Color digital Portrait Sketch with lots of red blood of the photo you submit of (3-5) people together as flesh eating zombies. Add $30 for (1) 16×20 Full Color Photo Satin Print and (5) 11×14 Full Color Portrait sketch printouts and $50 for international shipping. These prints will be signed by the artist. Tipping point: Not everyone can hire Charlie Adlard to draw you as a Zombie in the Walking Dead comic. This may be the second best thing. Depending on the pledge level you could get your zombie image drawn in color.
Concept: "The Heroes Doc tells the story of how this spectacular convention started as a hotel conference room and has grown to be one of the largest independent comic book conventions in the nation. We tell the story of the store, the convention, and all the people that make it possible!"
Fundraising for: "We are asking for $10,000. We this need this amount to cover costs for editing and scoring the documentary; as well as, visual effects for the finished documentary."
