Marvel Comics To Be Paid A Million Dollars To Turn Captain Citrus Into A Man

Floridan newspaper The Ledger reports that the,

Florida Department of Citrus is in the final stages of negotiations on a roughly $1 million contract with Marvel Worldwide Inc. to create a new Captain Citrus character to market orange juice to pre-teens and teens,

But one million dollars layer, he will become,

a buff superhero similar to his comic book and movie namesake, Steele said. Captain Citrus will transform from a gender neutral character to a male superhero touting OJ's health and nutritional benefits.

So, basically, Marvel are giving Captain Citrus a penis.

A million copies of a new Captain Citrus comic will be printed and distributed to children with new other stories available online. The comic will also see two and-a-half million copies will be inserted into the Captain America: The Winter Soldier DVD.

But why the change from this Floridian favourite?

 officials decided they had to remake Captain Citrus because its old image could reinforce criticisms OJ is getting for its sugar content that is contributing to the nationwide obesity epidemic.

Something tells me we won't need a Speculator Corner for this one…
