Mickey Mouse Is A Great Uncle, In New French Indie Disney Comics From Fred Tebo And Régis Loisel
Here are the third and fourth volumes of famous cartoonists taking on the Mickey Mouse characters in their own unique styles. published by Glenat in France, and licensed from Disney, Expect IDW to pick these up and translate them for the American market at a later date.
Coming out on October 19th is La Jeunesse de Mickey or Mickey's Youth by Fred Tebo co-creator of Captain Biceps. In which Mickey Mouse is a rather old mouse doting on his grand nephew Norbert. In order to get him off the tablets, Mickey tells his tales of old, as a cowboy, prisoner in the Bayou, flying ace of the First World War, chocolate trafficker during Prohibition and even astronaut.
And in November, Café Zombo by Régis Loisel. Details are yet unknown, but Loisel is best known as artist on the long-running series La Quête de l'oiseau du temps.
Though it's not Loisel's first time to the Disney rodeo, he worked on both the movies Mulan and Atlantis.
