Midtown Comics Grand Opening in Astoria, Queens, This Weekend
Midtown Comics' New York's most prominent comic book store, is opening a new one this weekend, which they are dubbing 'Perhaps the first-ever comic book outlet store'. What does that mean?
The Midtown Comics' Astoria Outlet Store grand opening at 32-11 41st Street, Astoria, Queens, New York is intended to be reminiscent of the popular weekend warehouse sales that they used to hold in Long Island City, as well as rows of bins of back issues, and vintage, sought after issues on the wall. The store promises;
- Thousands of back issues, including high end sought after vintage favorites, Midtown exclusive comics, and tons of 99 cents specials, available as single issues and in bulk.
- Vintage comics: the oldest comic book at the Astoria Outlet is from 1932, on display with lots of silver, golden, and bronze age comics, and thousands of back issue complete sets, and CGC graded comics.
- Up to 70% off Graphic novels and manga. Look for RARE FIRST PRINTINGS of many graphic novels.
- Up to 70% off action figures, collectibles, statues, Gundam, Bandai, and more.
But this not a store you can pp into during the week. The Astoria Outlet will be open on Saturdays and Sundays only, from 10am to 6pm. For all you… weekend warriors. They are also going to launch a pick-up service for comics ordered from their website, so poeople don't have to trudge all the way into… well, Midtown.
