Did Marvel Comics Just Kill Off Ms Kang Without a By Your Leave? (Infinity Wars #4 Spoilers)

Do you remember that episode of Star Trek: Voyager from the second season, Tuvix? In which a teleportation accident (yes another one) between Neelix and Tuvok created a composite being who refered to himself as Tuvix? And who proved himself to be superior to both crewmen in his actions? And who most definitely does not agree to be split back again into two beings, as that would be akin to killing himself. But then Captain Janeway does it anyway, raising a host of moral and ethical demands and judgement upon her character?

Well, Infinity Wars #4 doesn't give a flying Ferengi about all that. Whether it's the combination of Emma Frost and Wolverine…

Or Ms Marvel and Kang…

Or the Hulk and Ant-Man.

All moral compasses are controlled by Magneto as one by one, they manage to separate each schmooshed together person into their component parts.

Without permission…

Without consent.

Without anyone suggesting, as in Star Trek Voyager, that is akin to murder. As the Infinity Warps have shown us, these are fully lived lives that have been destroyed here, not a reversal of a recent change. These characters have lived a full continuity up to this point.

Something that, like the original Ms Marvel's pregnancy, might have to be dealt with in decades to come?
