Mark Stafford is one of my favourite modern comic book artists. I've managed to grab him for a couple of projects here and there (Civil Wardrobe, The Avengefuls) but he's always been far too good for me and I was lucky to have him.

Today, he's painted a graphic novel, written by David Hine, more commensurate with his talents, The Man Who Laughs. An adaptation of the Victor Hugo work, a book that man have rather influenced the existence of The Joker.

Hine and Stafford will be signing at Comiket in London on Saturday. I'll be there with my girls, buying my copy. Here's a peek at what awaits me.
