Page Six One Six – Blind Items Before New York Comic Con 2015

blind

Welcome to Page Six One Six, the occasional blind items column of Bleeding Cool. Stories taken from across the comic book industry, from publisher to publisher, creator to creator, where the names have been changed to protect the guilty. Stories told in the New York sports bars or Burbank cocktail bars, from intern to colourist, to assistant editor… you have been warned.

Which comic book executive who discovered that (true) rumours about the affair they were having with another staffer, saw them charge down the hall one evening, screaming bloody murder, and banging loudly and repeatedly on an editor's door, strongly suspected of spreading the rumour, while onlookers watched? The editor in question was soon moved to a different department.

And which senior executive, who also gossiped about the affair, and who was confronted by the executive, saw his job taken away in a subsequent company reshuffle?

Conversely, everyone seems to know that one editor left a publisher, because a senior creator was harassing her. However when actually asked, she denied it completely and speaks quite sweetly of him…

Which artist was a regular cover artist for DC Comics but stopped because her contact there kept trying to sleep with her? Something her husband really wasn't happy about either?

NYCC is getting closer….
