Power Rangers #26 Vs. Action Comics #1000 on Tuesday Midnight
With over half a million copies ordered by retailers – and DC saying that's not enough – a number of retailers will be selling Action Comics #1000 early next Tuesday night just before Midnight, alongside a special early release of all DC Comics on April 18th.
Turns out, they're not the only publisher with releases warranting an early release.
Boom! Studios, whose huge sales on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #25 kicking off the Shattered Grid event, saw them jump a place on the Premiere Publisher list, gather a huge second printing number and made fans at their WonderCon panel cry, then announcing a massive nationwide retailer tour after Marvel announced they'd only visit a handful of stores.
Now they will also be releasing their Wednesday titles on Tuesday just before midnight including Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #26.
Press have been heavily embargoed on the ending of that issue… but apparently Bleeding Cool don't count as press, so we will see.
Plus, another one of those first-to-comic-shops collections will arrive in the form of Fence Volume 1, collecting the first four issues of the sell-out series for an Image-like $9.99 price point on Volume 1, with a cover by Dream Daddy artist Shanen Pae.
Will anyone else join the early release train, or will it be DC and Boom! Studios keeping retail staff up past their bedtime on a Tuesday? Here's a preview of what's to come, and the aftermath of what happened in #25…MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS #26 MAIN & MIX SG
