Booze Geek Special: Locke And Key Special Brew At San Diego Comic Con… Is Delicious
By Jeremy Konrad with Joe Glass
After 7 long hours of panels today, the batteries needed a recharge. Myself and my colleague Joe decided to stop into a local tavern Karl Strauss Brewing Company for some food. Luckily, they had a special brew on tap inspired by IDW's Locke And Key, the Locke And Brew. A blonde ale, it goes down pretty smoothly, and goes great with their house buffalo wings, which we also partook in. The beer is a special brew only available this weekend for SDCC, and never to be seen again. If you are around the city, they have a very relaxed atmosphere, with a very attentive wait staff. A nice, relaxing alternative to the Gaslamp District, it is worth searching out. If nothing else, then just stop in to have a pint before it is gone.
Karl Strauss Brewing Company is located at 1157 Columbia St.
