A Comic Show – Harley & Vader Are My Valentines!
Aaron Haaland of A Comic Shop in Orlando, Florida, writes:
Hey Fandom! I'm back with a Valentine's day new comic week! My favorite book this week is Darth Vader #1 by Gillen and Larroca. It hint all the feels of my childhood and tied into Aaron's Star Wars #2 perfectly. Plus my boy Boba Fett was there! Thor #5 gave us more clues to the new Thor's identity, while old Thor got drunk on mead. Spider-verse's ending was super fun with no spoilers from me coming. The second part of Black Vortex teased out more cosmic upgrades for of mutants and galactic Avengers.
DC's Harley Quinn Valentine's special was all the fun of a love struck Harleen, just with Bruce Wayne instead of Joker as the love interest. John Timm's art really shinned here with the dream sequences like he did in the weed special. Simone's Secret Six #2 was more of that old time violent humor we loved, and more sexy Catman! Who needs the Suicide Squad?
Image had several of my favorites including The Walking Dead, Southern Bastards, and Shutter. Also Warren Ellis' Trees volume one is here and totally worth checking out.
