Hey, Teacher, Leave Them Kids ARRGGGH! New Trailer Arrives For Detention Of The Dead
Drooling, moaning, staggering about without aim or purpose in life … yep, that pretty much sums up my teenage years.
This is Detention of the Dead, which describes itself as The Breakfast Club meets Shaun of the Dead, and is about a zombie plague that starts in a high school classroom and quickly leaves just a very small band of mismatched survivors to combat the snarling, acne-ridden horde of undead students. A feature film debut by writer-director Alex Craig Mann, the film stars Jacob Zachar from TV show Greek, Justin Chon (who got a mention in a podcast not long ago, when during a discussion of Twilight I proclaimed myself to be "Team That One Asian Guy From The First Film Who Flirts With Bella For A Bit Then Stops"), Christa B. Allen from ABC show Revenge and Max Adler from Glee.
A new mini-trailer has been released this week, and it seems as though the film will follow the Scream rules, which stipulate that any kind of bad behaviour (translation: fun behaviour) is a death sentence in the horror genre.

It's a low-budget affair, made for around $500,000, but the special effects look great. Here's a couple more clips for you to enjoy, and you can find out more on the film's official website.
