Dieselfunk Dispatch: Free Admission at Kids Comicon at Bronx Community College Today
Greetings Dieselfunkateers! A quick Dispatch. The 12th Annual KIDS COMICON is happening TODAY. Kids Comicon, also known as KCC has entertained children and families for years with their fun and friendly comicbook and fandom offerings. Started 12 years ago by The Legendary Alexander Simmons and Gene Adams, KCC has beaten the odds and is mounting yet another event. Simmons, known for creating BLACKJACK, pulp soldier of Fortune, has worked for years as an educator. Adams, also an educator has worked at Bronx Community College for many years.
Simmons and Adams met up during a joint event at the school and had a very fruitful experience. But then they suddenly get the bright idea to mount a yearly comic convention! It takes GUTS to do that! KIDS COMICON was BORN.
Special features at KCC 12!: Workshops in Creating Comics, and Animation. Panels on using Art in Education. Vendors selling Comics and MORE.
