Josh Trank Says The New Fantastic Four Synopsis Is False

Fantastic Four reboot director Josh Trank has come out via Twitter to debunk the new synopsis that's been floating around:

And he would certainly know better than a casting website. And FF purists can probably breathe a sigh of relief. Except… he's not exactly the most reliable source of information, is he? After all, right after word broke last summer that Miles Teller was the frontrunner to play Mr. Fantastic, Trank was just as adamant that that was not true either:

And, well, whoops. My best bet is that synopsis is or was probably true at one point or another, but of course the final version of the script could be vastly different. But since it bears no resemblance to any source materials and casting directors didn't make it up out of thin air, it probably has some basis in truth in what Trank and Fox are putting together for the film. How much, we'll have to wait and see.
