Kurt Busiek And Pat Olliffe's Untold Tales Of Spider-Man Omnibus Coming Soon
Untold Tales Of Spider-Man was a comic by Kurt Busiek and Pat Olliffe (and a few friends), that told early stories of Spider-Man, all for an industry-discounted 99 cents an issue. It ran for twenty-six issues and a couple of annuals. Now, Tom Brevoort and Kurt Busiek have been tweeting back and forth.
Kurt: Nice! THOR: GODSTORM royalties arrived, will cover a big chunk of our upcoming family trip #lovemeabacklist
Tom: All seems worthwhile now, doesn't it?
Kurt: It's a great-looking book. So can we get an AMAZING FANTASY collection when the next Spidey movie's ready to drop? Huh? Huh?
Tom: Maybe–you never know. (Of course, I didn't edit that one…)
Kurt: Or package it with LEGACY OF EVIL — that was yours!
Tom: I would like to get Legs of Evil back into print somewhere…
Kurt: You could stick in the villain pin-ups of those characters from UNTOLD '96 — you edited those! Gil Kane, baby! Jim Mooney! Given that LEGACY and AMAZING FANTASY are both painted, and involve the early days, they might combine well. Pin-ups or not.
Tom: There is an Untold Tales of Spidey Omnibus coming. Quite a surprise to me.
Kurt: The whole thing? Or just a big chunk? Either way, very cool!
Tom: Whole thing, I think. Including the annuals and Strange Encounter.
Kurt: That'll be nice to have. And all for 99 cents!
Tom: I'm not sure we'll even bring it in for $99.00. But that seems like the appropriate price, doesn't it?
The nineties ARE coming back!
