Look What Santa Brought Me!

Hey gang, it's that time of the year again. A time to gather round the table, surrounded by loved ones, as the warmth of the holiday season brings us closer together. But more importantly, presents.

This year, I got a sneak peek into what Santa brought me. Spoilers: It's good stuff.

Longtime readers will know what a fan I am of 90's R&B girl groups, which is what makes this first present a real winner.

This Flash and Green Lantern magnetic Salt and Pepper shaker set is a great adornment to any table setting. Crafted from fine porcelain, with a vibrant enamel finish. My only gripe with this set is there's no definite light/dark contrast to determine who is the pepper, or who is the salt. Spy vs Spy, Darth Vader/Stormtrooper; these salt and pepper sets make sense, but if you want to keep your dinner guests guessing, this is the set for you. However, I would suggest making the Flash red pepper flakes and Green Lantern oregano. Especially if you make pizza as much as I do.

Next up in Santa's sack is the Uncle Milton's Star Wars Science Rey Lightsaber Room Light. As a young whelp, Uncle Milton's ant farms taught me the value teamwork, life and ants. As an adult, this room light kit taught me about the miracle of LED and how different elements create different colors. I'm learning, but I'm also having fun. The lightsaber is both stylish and practical. It mounts on the wall and is remote-controlled. Perfect for when you need to make a 2am pitstop, but don't want to wake the wife.

Finally, we come to my most off-the-wall gift this season. Imagine a venn diagram. The left circle comprises Wizard-of-Oz fandom; the right, Dawn of the Dead. The following gift is great for those odd birds that live in the overlap. Mezco's Living Dead Dolls series combines the cute with the terrifying in a series of dolls zombifying characters from various pop culture favorites. The Munchkins are an Entertainment Earth exclusive. They're adorable, but also I will sleep with the lights on tonight.
