Lying In The Gutters – 2nd June 2014 – Five Years Later

So, yes, Bleeding Cool is five years old. And a few folk wanted to say a few things, including me.

It's been a fascinating five years to cover. Five years ago we didn't have iPads and mass commercial digital comics were a gleam in the eye. The full commercialisation of the geek demographic had yet to occur. And everyone was staying in New York. On that basis, the next five years will change things all over again.

But we never rest in our laurels. This weekend our servers went to town over the Fantastic Four revelations and we are very interested to see how Marvel will spin this one. More concern on Bleeding Cool was expressed over cosplayer harassment issues by Nicole Jacobs. And there was trouble with Graphicly and Redbubble. Oh and Bryan K Vaughan left Under The Dome.

Again, matters that Bleeding Cool keeps bringing to the fore. We hope you've enjoyed the first five years and will help us with whatever is coming next…
