Marvel Unlimited Getting Ready To Lap Civil War 2 With November Releases

Newsarama has the barely modified press release SCOOP on Marvel Unlimited's offerings for November, and astute readers may notice that Civil War 2 #0 is amongst the new releases on the digital subscription service.

Marvel Unlimited tends to release new comics on a six month delay from their print and pay-per-copy digital versions, which would normally make sense, but for Civil War 2, as Bleeding Cool has reported again and again, it could mean trouble. The series has been plagued by delays, due to unforeseen circumstances like the sudden birth of artist David Marquez's child, and these delays have already caused Marvel to spoil some of the book's upcoming shocking revelations in recent comics originally meant to be published in the aftermath of the super-mega-crossover event.

The final issue, Civil War 2 #8, is scheduled for December 28 (but what year??), which should give Marvel enough lead time to get it out before Marvel Unlimited catches up, but what if the series is delayed again?! We could have old fashioned time paradox on our hands as Civil War 2 #8 is released to Marvel Unlimited sometime in February before the print comic is even completed. The potential ramifications this might have on the industry are staggering, we can all agree, so we'll just have to hope that Marvel is able to get it together and get this book out on time, for all of our sakes.

A prophecy once said that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero would come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events. Sadly, that prophecy was wrong. Oh, Jude Terror was right. For ten years. About everything. But nobody listened.
