The comics industry reminds me of politics, more and more as time goes by.   There's the system we have, and the system we want — and it seems relatively obvious how to get from point A to point B, but our best efforts somehow always dissolve into noisy static before we get there.

But occasionally things happen that bring a clear signal out of the noise.  That's the theme of the past few days — it's not what happened, it's how the community reacts to it that's important.

Marvel Making Moves On Doctor Strange, Again

At the moment they're alleged to have drawn up a shortlist. We don't know who's on this shortlist, we just know it exists – according to John Q. Unnamedsource.

Sony has just released another group of high-quality photos from The Amazing Spider-Man featuring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. I'm liking what we've seen so far, but I'm still on the fence about that basketball texture.  What do you think?
