Sunday Trending Topics: The Justice League Tumbles Into The Open
Today is a perfect example of why I'm loving the build-up to the new DC: it's the wonderfully unprogrammed way the information has unspooled out onto the internet. You never know when some new tidbit is going to surface in some corner of the world. Often in this corner, and sometimes in some unexpected place as happened with the Toon Tumbler Justice League images today. This is not some pre-packaged story negotiated to appear in a major media outlet. This is a soon-to-be-textbook example of post-viral marketing. And we're hanging on each @jimlee tweet, every Dan Didio facebook update, each unguarded creator blog post, and every retailer roadshow report, anxiously hoping for some new tidbit of info. DC didn't plan it this way, but they're rolling with it very well.
