Tuesday Runaround: Put A Pony On The Thing

GambleWatch: Bet US names The Invisible Woman as 1:1 favourite to die in the upcoming Fantastic Four. They also list The Thing at 100:1. Do they have some kind of inside information here? Or are they looking at The Thing appearing on the Fear Itself poster? Couldn't that just be a deliberate distraction by Marvel? Based on past action by the company, I think a $10 flutter on The Thing might be worth it…

ChartWatch: Diane Nelson gets names by ChipChick as one of the Top 13 women who impacted on technology in 2010

Diane says, 'I think there are attributes that many women executives have that will be a great addition to this business, I hope. While it would be as wrong of me to attribute these traits to women at the exclusion of men as it would be for a man to do the reverse, I think women can often be very strong team players and good communicators and collaborators'. I like her attitude and hope that through her role as president we'll see more female superheroes in comic books, and the role of female characters become far more than just supporting acts.
