Ron Marz: If there's a better pairing than horrible, selfish nutbag Ayn Rand and Bluewater, I've yet to hear it: http://on.cbr.cc/i4mY0n
Bluewater Productions: I can think of a couple things…
Ron Marz: Really? Like what? And don't say "unauthorized Justin Bieber comic," that's too easy.]
Bluewater Productions: How about the sale numbers on Witchblade. Does that book even come out anymore? Bieber is at least driving new readers to stores
Ron Marz: You are absolutely right, @BluewaterProd, sales is always, ALWAYS the best indication of quality material.
Bluewater Productions: if you are going to report on the facts – the C &D was from the people that do his lunchboxes not him. We spoke to Bieber's people
Ron Marz: Wait, I shortchanged you, @BluewaterProd: sales, cease-and-desist orders, and rampant charges of non-payment from creators.

Etc. Etc. What larks.

ReviewWatch:
That Justin Bieber comic.

"I figured going into this one that I was prepared for the worst Bluewater had to offer in their latest shameless attempt at bilking tweens out of four bucks a copy, but as it turns out, the bottom of that particular barrel goes even lower than I expected."

ConflictOfInterestWatch: My own royal wedding comic books are published in the UK today, with art from Gary Erskine and Mike Collins. More on that later, obviously.

SpiegelmanWatch: Art Spiegelman loves the current comic book scene.

"I can't even keep up with the comics I admire right now," he says. "This growth spurt is so impressive and tracing it, trying to understand its implications, that will be the focus of (the lecture)."

"It's all very fertile," says Spiegelman. "It's a culture that now includes museum shows . . . literary awards. . . . You've got magazines from Time to The New Yorker discussing comics without flinching. It's not necessary to have that article that says: 'Comics — They're not for kids anymore.' . . .Now, that's a given."

SwipeWatch: Okay it may not be worth it's own swipe file, but I did like this.
