Speculator Corner: Batgirl #37 of Guardians Of The Galaxy #7?

This Wednesday sees the publication of Batgirl #37 and Guardians Of The Galaxy #7. And while everyone is distracted by the publication of House Of X #1, a few comic book speculators are wondering about those two comics.

The first promises the appearance of a new Oracle – the role that Barbara Gordon used to play until she got her legs back, Bleeding Cool ran previews at the weekend for the Batgirl #37 comic book out this Wednesday, giving us a better look at the character – and noted that the DC's Year Of The Villain cardstock $5 comic features the new Oracle on the cover.

While others are wondering about Guardians Of The Galaxy #7, billed as The Death Of Rocket Raccoon. It'll be the start of a big Guardians Of The Galaxy story from Donny Cates, Cory Smith and David Curiel that will run through Marvel's cosmic history, with a lot of Jim Starlin-sourced stories.

But if all you are looking for is raccoon death, and I know some of you are, you may want to look elsewhere – for now, at least. Maybe check back in a couple of issues.I am told not to look for this cover shot in the comic itself. And #8 to be published next week… the solicits and cover should have clued everyone in.
