Talking Comics – Swamp Thing #1, Uncanny X-Men #1, A-Force #1, Last Contract #1 & More!

Bleeding Cool welcomes the return of Talking Comics, from Excalibur Comics, Cards, and Games in Shreveport, Louisiana, to discuss this week's upcoming books, speculating about where they are headed, and discuss their favorite storylines.

It's a brand-new year and we have some exciting and awesome comics that are shipping to us this very first week of 2016, and we couldn't be more excited!

Superman has defeated everybody: The Green Lantern Corps, the magicians, everybody, but Batman is still out there looking, waiting and watching for Superman to slip up. Now, Superman decides it's time to start enlisting villains to his side as well, and we get that this week with the first issue of Injustice: Gods Among Us Year Five. This is the final series leading up to the story line that is currently in the videogame, so if you've been enjoying this series, do not miss this series.

A brand-new volume of Uncanny X-Men hits this week, and we get to see that not only the threats to mutant-kind are larger and more real, but now, so is the opposition to those threats. With this new team of X-Men that includes some of the deadliest mutants ever released into the mutant universe, anyone who threatens mutants, beware!

It's the team-up that you didn't know that you wanted that is happening this week. That's right, Deadpool and Spider-Man team up for their own series this week by the original creative team of the first Deadpool ongoing comic book series as they tackle both Spider-Man and Deadpool, telling jokes, fighting crime and hopefully not killing anybody in the process.

Another fan-favorite series that ships this week is A-Force #1, which sees some of Marvel's strongest heroines team up together for their own team of Avengers to deal with the threats of the multi-verse that face our world.

Don't forget that the Star Wars storyline of Vader Down is continuing and concluding this week with Star Wars #14 and Darth Vader #15. What is this world like where Darth Vader has had to defend himself more than he ever has before? We get to find out the conclusion of this series this week.
