The Truth Behind Marvel's Next Event – Assault On Pleasant Hill – And How It's All About Captain America's 75th

STANDOFF2016000_covAssault On Pleasant Hill is the next big Marvel crossover, based around the 75th anniversary of Captain America. All three of him.

We had a solicitation in February for Avengers Standoff: Welcome To Pleasant Hill by Nick Spencer and Mark Bagley.

The prelude to the Spring's blockbuster AVENGERS event!
Hello there and welcome, new resident. You've sure made the right choice in moving to Pleasant Hill– a friendly small town where burdens are lifted and the sun is always bright… so hide your eyes. Don't let it see you looking its way. Hide if you must. Otherwise it will burn right through you. Pleasant Hill is the kind of place where folks look out for one another. Everyone knows who their neighbors are. But who are you, neighbor?
40 PGS./ONE-SHOT/Rated T+ …$4.99

So where is this going?

Well the standoff appears to be between three Captain Americas. Steve Rogers, Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson. And several Avengers teams get drawn in on different sides.

And it all begins in the small town of Pleasant Hull, an idyllic community with friendly neighbors…and a terrible, dark secret.

Could it be a… wait for it… Civil War? A second Civil War? Civil War 2??? Well it could be. But to start with at least it looks like getting down to the fundamentals of liberty, security and the kind of troubles that boil, hidden, unseen in small town communities until they explode.

Oh and cosmic cubes are involved.

Look forward to seeing this story unfold in Welcome To Pleasant Hill Prologue #1, Assault On Pleasant Hill Alpha #1, Agents Of SHIELD #3-4, Uncanny Avengers #7, All-New, All-Different Avengers #7-8, New Avengers #8-10, Captain America: Sam Wilson #7-8, Uncanny Avengers #8, Illuminati #6, Howling Commandos #6, wrapping up with Assault On Pleasant Hill Omega #1 and spinninf off stories in Uncanny Inhumans #5-9.

And you can already order the collection here.
