ThunderCats #1 100,000 Pre-Orders Already, Even Before Rob Liefeld

The new ThunderCats #1 comic has orders of over 100,000 copies before the Final Order Cut-Off this coming Monday from Dynamite Entertainment.

The new ThunderCats #1 comic has orders of over 100,000 copies before the Final Order Cut-Off this coming Monday from Dynamite Entertainment and Warner Bros. And they haven't even announced the Rob Liefeld variant covers yet. FOC is this coming weekend. That's a massive order number, and with FOC numbers, that could hit 150,000. The new comic book series by Declan Shalvey and Drew Moss is a revival of the eighties cartoon series that is also designed to suit a newcomer who will meet these characters for the first time. I understand the first issue balances establishing the cast and backstory while still jumping right into the new narrative.

With 100,000 comics accounted for, it's a fantastic start to the new partnership and licensing with Warner Bros. and of course the new era of ThunderCats comics. The Rob Liefeld cover is not mentioned but is listed as a foil cover on Previewsworld and over Christmas, Rob Liefeld posted a sketch to Instagram of him drawing Lion O… can we put the two things together?
