When she gets there, however, it looks like she's too late. Everyone's dead! Sorry, Misty, might as well head home then…

Except, it seems Carnage isn't so good at counting, because the population isn't zero. It's one! As there's someone still alive…

…and it's a naked John Jameson! Well, that's lucky, isn't it? Out of all the dead people in this town, the only one left alive happens to be the exact person Misty is looking for!
