Who Is Behind 'Push Comics Forward'?

tumblr_nitbjrpHNt1u62h6go1_1280I've found it that registrations like copyrights, trademarks, and even websites can be a terrific early indicator of upcoming plans by creators and publishers. It's been a bit since I've seen a website registration that caught my attention, but one that did is the recently registered – pushcomicsforward.com.

Registered on the 17th December with a hidden domain owner, it redirects to a Tumblr page with a single image and what appears to be a mission statement.

Push Comics Forward is a movement to actively shape what the comics industry SHOULD look like in 10 years.

And handily there's an ad in tomorrow's Previews tell you exactly who is behind it all…

Looks like it's Boom! Studios, folks.

I wonder how they are going to push comics forward?
