505 Games Will Show Off Assetto Corsa Competizione On June 16th

505 Games and Italian developer Kunos Simulazioni have teamed with the ESA to show off their racing game Assetto Corsa Competizione. With E3 canceled and everyone resorting to live streams, the devs decided to do the same thing, but with the organization that would have brought us E3 had the COVID-19 outbreak not happened. The event will take place next Tuesday, June 16th at 8am PDT on YouTube, and feature a number of esports stars and professional drivers showing off the game. It will include a preview, live virtual sessions, a love moderated press Q&A, and more. You can read more about the participants and the plans below.

Assetto Corsa Competizione is the official GT World Challenge® game, recreates the international GT series racing event, including all cars, teams, tracks, and affiliated drivers, and achieves its hyper realistic simulation gameplay used by elite drivers and teams in professional training capacities. This virtual session will also highlight how pro racing organization SRO Motorsports Group is engaging with passionate fans and gamers by embracing esports to provide closeup contact free action in the SRO E-Sport GT Series and GT Rivals, across the globe bringing multi-national professional drivers, sim racers and invited fans together and competing behind the wheel of  top GT3 racers of today from Acura, Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG, Porsche, and more.

Esports and games industry expert Imad Khan, host of the FTW with Imad Khan podcast, will lead a discussion with SRO Motorsports Group esports representatives Robbie Montinola and Anthony Comas, professional luxury sportscar champions and GT Rivals participants David Perel (Ferrari 488 GT3), Bryan Heitkotter  (No. 05 Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3) and pro racing coach Guy Cosmo (K-PAX Racing and Bentley) for a heated discussion around Assetto Corsa Competizione, the explosive surge in esports popularity, and simulation racing games.
