Never Knew I Was This Good At 'Dandara' At PAX West

The last time I saw Raw Fury Games, they were showing off The Last Night at E3. This time around at PAX West they brought in a couple different titles that were super popular and had long lines. The one in the bunch that I got a chance to play was Dandara, which was a Metroidvania throwback with some twists that made me wish I had the game right now. Your primary character uses what is essentially a grapple hook system where you latch onto white spaces on the floors, walls, and ceilings. The goal of all this is to maneuver your way through the levels and find compartments and treasures that will give you more life and abilities.

The demo itself was pretty extensive from what I was able to play, going around in well-designed levels to shoot down enemies with some sort of magical weapon and then solve a puzzle or two as I navigated my way around a space that kept throwing me off. But within five minutes I was slinging myself around at high speed like Spider-Man and conquering areas in no time flat. I would have stayed longer and completed as much of Dandara as I could if I had the time. The game is already out for several systems, but the build I got to do was the Nintendo Switch version, which is coming in December!
