A Fisherman's Tale Will Finally Be Released in January
Vertigo Games, Innerspace, and ARTE finally announced that their VR title, A Fisherman's Tale, would finally be released in January 2019. This one has kinda been in the air for a while as it's a surreal VR tale involving a fisherman at a lighthouse with its own miniature fisherman and lighthouse in the mix. I bet you're wondering what's going on, because so are we. There's no official date stamped to this, just a month, but it's good to know we'll see it in the next six to nine weeks. In the meantime, enjoy the latest trailer.
A Fisherman's Tale is a game about a fisherman who lives in a lighthouse. In his lighthouse is a miniature scale version of the same lighthouse, and living in that smaller lighthouse is….the same fisherman? And…another lighthouse??? Use this multi-dimensional diorama to solve complicated puzzles in a game where you cooperate with miniature versions of yourself! Playing with the incredible sense of scale unique to VR, Innerspace invented a unique VR gameplay mechanic based on the recursion principle. In a way, A Fisherman's Tale is a co-op game – but instead of playing with others, you're teaming up with multiple dimensions of yourself! With the ability to twist and bend your newfound, peculiar reality, you'll be challenged with multi-dimensional puzzles on your journey to the core of an unusually tall tale.
