Celebi Has Been Added For Pokémon GO Fest Attendees

If you happen to be attending the Pokémon GO Fest, which to our knowledge hasn't been terrible this year, there's a special Pokémon for you to find. Right now, as we're writing this, it's currently been confirmed that those who are in Chicago at the festival have a chance to snag Celebi. There's a bunch of steps that you need to take in order to accomplish this, which Polygon has laid out for you to try and do if you're at the festival. You're probably saying "I'm not at the festival", and that's fine. This is more for the people who may be around the festival in Chicago who would like to attempt to get within range and take advantage of this.

If you're not in Chicago or attending the festival, don't worry about it. There's a pretty good chance we're going to see the character pop up in Pokémon GO eventually. Right now, this is basically a bonus to anyone who was willing to fork over the cash and hang out in the mildly hot weather. We're pretty sure, based off of last year's timeline, that Celebi will be made available in a matter of weeks, if not within the next two months, for players to try and catch globally.
