Challenge Days Come To Pikmin Bloom In New Update From Niantic

Niantic Labs, the mobile developer behind the hit game Pokémon GO, has announced a new event coming to their Pikmin Bloom app. This hybrid game/wellness app has previously only had a winter event and Community Days, so it is interesting to see more themed events come to the game. Let's take a look at this new announcement which Niantic refers to as a "Challenge Days" event, where the daily challenge cap that Pikmin Bloom players have gotten used to will increase for a limited period of time.

The Challenge Days event will begin on Thursday, February 24th 2022 (0:00 local time) and will end on Monday, February 28th, 2022 (23:59 local time). The bonuses include:

  • Daily cap of 6 challenges per day instead of the usual 3.
  • Your friendship levels with your Pikmin will rise double the usual amount when you send them to clear challenges.

Regarding this Pikmin Bloom event, Niantic writes to explain these Challenges:

Challenges are accessible to all users after reaching level 15, and involve sending your Pikmin to destroy mushrooms, netting them fruits from which they can extract nectar. As different Pikmin have different characteristics, you will find that some of them are better suited to tackle different challenges.

Choosing the right Pikmin will increase the ability of your squad, getting you ever so closer to a higher score! Ensure you're selecting a strong team by choosing the Pikmin below:

Pikmin the same color as the mushroom at hand Pikmin with flowers on their heads (the rarer the flower, the better!)

Pikmin with high friendship levels

Decor Pikmin Challenges can be tackled on your own, or together with up to 4 other users!

The more participants, the higher the chances of obtaining a great score.

Players who have yet to hit Level 15 in Pikmin Bloom will be able to take advantage of similar events in the future according to this post as well.
