'Dead By Daylight' Killers Now Have Win Condition Updates
Dead By Daylight is has a new upgrade in their system that will directly affect the serial killers you are running from. A lot of people have complained since it launched that whoever plays the killer is usually OP, even if you have a team who knows what they're doing and can outwit them. I'm sure there are people who play mostly killer who will argue that the teens can be cheap, but unlike Friday The 13th, there is a point where the killer can be a jerk and there's no way for the teens to win.
So to compensate for this, the devs added a new system of points and conditions for the killers to achieve a victory. The latest patch (1.5.3 – Victory Cube Patch) went into effect on July 4, changing the killer's victory and ranking system from Bloodpoints to Killer Goals. Killers will now have to actively seek out, hook, and kill all teens in order to win and increase their rank. Up until now, the pip system has been a confusing mess toward determining victory, now the killers have specific goals in order to rank up and get more powerful, balancing them out along with the survivors. Here's a look at the new system.
- Less than 7 Killer Goals – Entity Displeased (-1 Pip)
- 8 Killer Goals – Brutal Killer (No Pip Change)
- 9-15 Killer Goals – Ruthless Killer (+1 Pip)
- 16 Killer Goals – Merciless Killer (+2 Pip)
This new system encourages the killer to be proactive in killing people off, rather than just hunting for sport until they can't do anything while you earn random points for traps and hits. This system will dramatically change anything for current players, but new Dead By Daylight players will see a dramatic increase in how they level up and benefit from being an active killer.
