Evercade Announces Atari Lynx Collection 2 Cartridge

Evercade revealed today that they have a second cartridge of Ataru Lynx games on the way with the Atari Lynx Collection 2. If you're not already aware of it, Evercade is a brand new console that has created its own special brand of retro-style game cartridges that contain multiple video games at once on a single cartridge. It is designed to give you a simple gaming experience like the golden era of gaming used to be like back in the '70s and '80s. It even comes with a 4.3 screen and an output for the TV if you wish. They've been making these cartridges for a while now for a couple of different brands, specifically consoles that you just can't get anywhere and games that have long been forgotten. This latest cartridge comes with eight titles from the past that include California Games, Chips Challenge, Checkered Flag, Todd's Adventures in Slimeworld, Electro Cop, Gates of Zendocon, Zarlor Mercenary, and Blue Lightning. A couple of classics in there along with some oddball titles that are a bit of a throwback. The collection will be released sometime in Q3 2020. Until then, here's a little more info on the set and the Evercade collection.

Another eight Atari Lynx games will join the Evercade library.

With 8 officially licensed games, this cartridge offers some of the best ever Lynx titles to the Evercade handheld, which also connects to your TV via HDMI. These games are incredibly hard to play in any way currently (shy of owning the original console and cartridges) and shows Evercade's continued mission to bring quality retro games to a single platform. The cartridge joins a library of 11 other cartridges which includes content from publishers Atari, Data East, Interplay, Mega Cat Studios, Namco Museum, Piko Interactive, Songbird Interactive and Technos, taking the total to over 145 officially licensed games!
