EVO Japan 2019 Officially Sets Dates for February

A bit of cool news for EVO over the weekend as they have officially confirmed their dates for EVO Japan 2019. The event will take place from February 15th-17th in Fukuoka, which has already started to generate buzz in the community and in Japan as the company tweeted about it yesterday evening.

The Japan version of the tournament runs a little bit differently than some may expect in the states, as some of the games you would expect to be prominent mainstays and be centerpieces of the tournament sometimes don't even make an appearance. As an example, this year's event primarily featured ARMS from Nintendo, which apparently wasn't at all considered for EVO 2018 in Las Vegas next month. So the games that take place in Japan usually revolve around what fighting titles are popular in the region at the time it's happening.

Beyond the date and location, no further details were given out as they said the rest of the info would be coming at EVO 2018 from August 3rd-5th. Whatever they decide to do this year, they already generated a buzz about their return in short time, so EVO Japan 2019 already has a great chance at succeeding again.
