Future Bartending with Ysbryd Games' N1RV Ann-A at PAX East 2019
The second game we tried out at the Ysbryd Games booth from PAX East this year was N1RV Ann-A, which may look a bit familiar to some. If you may recall, there was a game released a few years ago called VA-11 HALL-A, which was a cyberpunk journey through the eyes of a bartender. This is kind of the same deal with a bit of a change as you're still a bartender in a cyberpunk future, but the conversations you're having seem much more real as opposed to the first where you kept questioning reality and whether or not what was in front of you was real.
We went through the first conversation, getting to know Parka and mixing her drinks as this was her first time properly drinking at a bar by herself. We won't spoil anything about the story, but there are a number of interesting twists to the story that made us intrigued as to what was happening in this world and who exactly the person was that came walking through our door. Sadly, we won't get to explore that much as N1RV Ann-A is currently slated to be released sometime in 2020. Here's hoping it gets pushed up a bit because I don't want to wait another year to find out what's going on in this woman's life and if she really enjoyed the drinks I mixed for her.
