Hearthstone HCT World Championships: Group Stage B – killinallday vs. languagehacker
We're live in Taipei, Taiwan as we're bringing you the complete Hearthstone HCT World Championships to crown at 2019 champion. Today's matchups will be the placement rounds in Group Stage A and B, and we keep on moving with Group Stage B – killinallday vs. languagehacker.
The first match started off strong as LH went with his Shaman deck while KAD went with his Warlock. The match started pretty slow, slower than you would normally expect as both were looking for advantages in the other. It looked like for a moment that KAD was going to overtake, but he just didn't have the resources as he fell late in the game, giving LH the 1-0 lead. That didn't last long as KAD stayed with his Warlock deck and LH switched to the Hunter. This match wasn't even close as KAD was able to roll over LH with ease, to the point where everyone in the room checked their watches to see how quickly that went. The series entered the halfway mark 1-1.
For Game 3, LH stuck with his Hunter deck while KAD moved onto his Warrior deck. This one was a much bigger challenge for both men to get past as they were working toward more of a resource management kind of game and didn't have a clear advantage right off the start, but a couple rounds from LH of having nothing good to play left an opening for KAD to strike as he was able to slice LH down and go up 2-1. For some reason, even with two defeats, LH stuck with his Hunter deck for a third match as KAD switched it up again and went with his Priest deck. The determination didn't really matter, however, as KAD was able to cut the deck down to size in short order and took the fourth game for the 3-1 victory, moving up 1-0 in the group.
Winner: killinallday (3-1)
