Hironobu Sakaguchi will be Livestreaming Final Fantasy VI in March

In a rare moment where we get to see the creator tackle their own project, Hironobu Sakaguchi, the creator of the Final Fantasy series, will be livestreaming a four-part series in which he will play Final Fantasy VI. The entire event is being planned out in conjunction with Famitsu, and will be broadcast live on NicoNico for Japanese viewers and YouTube for practically everywhere else starting on March 1st. There's no major reason given as to why he has chosen to do this. No hints toward this being a cheater's guide, an accident, or even showing off pure heart and knowledge that he is still king of all things Final Fantasy.

On top of getting to see the creator play, one of the days he streams he will have a guest in the form of Kazuko Shibuya, who served as the pixel artist on Final Fantasy VI (or FF3 if you're an American who never bothered to learn their wacky numbering system from the SNES days). No matter what the outcome of the game is (which we assume will be him conquering it in record time because it is one of his most beloved titles), it will be interesting to see what those four episodes end up recording.
