It Appears Disney is Trying to Resurrect Lucasfilm Games

To a very specific generation of PC gamers, Lucasfilm Games will probably hold a special place in your heart with titles from the late '80s and early '90s. The brand eventually folded into LucasArts and was nothing more than a tag on certain games, and then was lost to obscurity after the Disney buyout. Now it appears Disney is in the process of resurrecting the Lucasfilm Games brand back to life, but not LucasArts. A couple different sites caught onto new job listings for a Producer gig and a Brand Art Coordinator that both have the LFG brand attached to them, each posted about a week and a half ago. (The jobs are still open if you're interested.)

It Appears Disney is Trying to Resurrect Lucasfilm Games

It's an interesting sight to see, especially after the comments came out from Disney's CEO that the company was never good at making video games, which prompted a response from the creator of Epic Mickey. It would be interesting to see what Disney has in store for the brand, and if the only purpose moving forward would be to make Star Wars games or a variety of titles. But since they're just building up the brand, we're probably a long ways away from seeing anything come to fruition.
