"Kingdom Hearts III" Gets A Small Patch Before First DLC
Before Kingdom Hearts III receives its first major DLC addition, Square Enix is throwing in a small patch that adds a few things to the mix. Square Enix has sent out a 1.07 and 1.09 patch to the game, which primarily adds new abilities and items, as well as fixies some lingering issues. But more importantly to fans, it adds something extra to a couple of cutscenes.
The game has been given a change to a few key points, specifically in the music, camera angles, and visuals, which the game's official Twitter account was more than happy to point out and share.
The update has basically allowed players to get a hold of the Oathkeeper and Oblivion Keyblades and use them in dual-wielding double form without the DLC. Apparently, this little feat has been added to Critical Mode, meaning if you truly want to experience this, it won't be easy. Depending on the player you ask, Critical Mode in Kingdom Hearts III is either the most grueling or most tedious of the modes. It's not even a matter of it being a major challenge, it's the fact that you have to do a lot that feels like a chore. In any case, the gauntlet has been thrown down for those who want to try before the ReMind DLC.
